Our Staff

We are committed to teaching and inspiring the next generation of clinicians for the benefit of all New Zealanders. We are an accredited teaching practice with the Royal NZ College of GPs and the Nursing Council of NZ. We train doctors to become specialist GPs and nurses to become Nurse Practitioners.

GP Registrars are doctors who have trained in the hospital system and are now specialising in community medicine. They are placed with us for 6 month rotations as part of their 3 year General Practice Specialist Programme. Once they’ve completed their programme requirements, including passing more exams, they become a “Fellow” of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.

We are fortunate to have fantastic staff including our registrars Amy & Anne, nurse practitioner intern Nadia Gozon, registered nurses Ruth Lindfield & Frances Chan, and our administration team, Pela & Lucinda.

We pride ourselves on being a practice where patients can build a real connection with our clinical and administrative staff, some of whom have been with the practice for over 20 years.

Dr Connie Juhn

Dr Connie Juhn

Clinical Director

BA MBChB FRNZCGP MEDSAC

Originally from Seattle, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Biology at one of America’s Ivy Leagues, Brown University, before falling in love with NZ and making the move in 2001. I received my medical degree from the University of Auckland and have gained broad medical knowledge by working at Starship, Middlemore, Auckland and North Shore Hospitals. I am a specialist GP, having attained Fellowship from the Royal NZ College of GPs. I also work for the Pohutukawa Clinic where I am a forensic examiner for sexual assault cases and expert witness for the court when these cases go to trial. I am a member of MEDSAC - NZ’s national governing body for sexual assault and trauma care.

I enjoy all aspects of general practice. I have specialist skills in: minor surgery, skin cancer surgery, long acting contraception procedures (IUCDs - Mirena/Jaydess & Jadelles), abortion care, sexual health (including PrEP), and women’s health (including menopause management, endometrial pipelle sampling).

I love spending time with my partner and four children, twins in high school and the younger two in primary school. We live locally and usually can be found with our mates either snowboarding, fishing or camping.

Originally from Korea, I moved with my family to West Auckland where I grew up. Prior to gaining my medical degree, I studied public health - a subject I continue to have a keen interest in and hope to incorporate into my practice.

Outside of medicine, I love spending time with my husband and two year old son (mostly running around after him) - watching films, reading and taking roadtrips.
